Esophageal Doppler monitoring (EDM) benefits from decades of clinical experience in humans. It is the only technology to consistently demonstrate reductions in postoperative complications and length of hospital stay when used to guide hemodynamic management. Because EDM derives cardiac output data direct from the aorta it is uniquely accurate in delivering real-time pressure and flow data for the clinician to use in making critical therapeutic decisions.
